When I heard about CJ running for Senate, I immediately became curious. I know that we need some fresh new blood not only in the House of State Representatives but in the State Senate as well and the more I learned about CJ, the more I knew he would be perfect. He comes from a working family background, he didn't inherit anything and he himself has always worked for what he has accomplished. He represents the family values that so many politicians seem to care about yet believe that only certain people can have them. I'm proud to endorse CJ for Senate because it is time we get someone who cares for not just some Iowans but all of us.
Iowan, Wife, Mother, & Recovery Advocate
My name is Selina. I live in Osceola, Iowa, and I've had the pleasure of knowing CJ Petersen for the last decade. When I first met CJ, he was in the middle of his fight with alcoholism. Despite all of the difficulties that come with that disease, CJ was still a loving and compassionate friend. I believe his ability to see his battle through and his resilience in rebuilding his life are a true reflection of the energy and work ethic that he'll bring to Iowa politics and beyond. I am proud to support CJ in his efforts to join the Iowa Senate, and I know that he will fight for the people of Iowa with love, compassion, and grace.
Former Chair of Carroll County Democratic Party
I support C.J. Petersen for Iowa Senate because he understands what so many politicians no longer understand: that public service is about building community with your neighbors to overcome the challenges we face together, and to leave the world better than we found it for our kids and grandkids. C.J. has an inclusive and optimistic vision for our state's future, and he will speak up and fight for the policies that will make a real difference in the daily lives of Iowans. But above all else, he is a good friend, a compassionate neighbor, and a committed family man. I am proud to offer him my wholehearted support.
Candidate for U.S. Senate 2020
Hey, Friends! Kimberly here. Here in National Alcohol Awareness Month, check out C.J. Petersen's story. He's running for Iowa State Senate and speaks eloquently about the need for investments in treatment. We need excellent leaders like C.J. in state government.
